Place one bag tree; each little bag will have about 50 mites in it if you are releasing one pint container (5,000 predators) per acre (at about 100 trees per acre).
Take a supply of bags, a stapler and plenty of staples along with the pint container to the first tree.
Staple 2 or 3 leaves into a bag with the leaves touching the bottom of the bag, so the bag is hanging from the tree.
Gently rock each container while rotating it for about one half to one minute. Do not shake the container!
Remove the cap from the pint container and pour about 3/4 of a teaspoon of material into the bag.
Place your finger over the hole and gently rock the container as you walk to the next tree.
When the bottle is empty, hang it from a tree by stuffing a couple leaves into it. This will allow any predators left inside to move out onto the tree.
If you need to hold the predators overnight after you have opened the box:
Leave the bottles with the predators in the styrofoam box.
Place the Cold-Ice bag int eh refrigerator (not the freezer!) for an hour or two.
Place the Cold-Ice bag back in the styrofoam box with a layer of foam rubber between it and the bottles.
Tape the styrofoam box shut.
Precaution: Place the bags where they will not be filled by water from the irrigation system. Bags should be oriented upward to avoid spilling their contents.
